Blood sample and laboratory tests

To gain more insight in the cause of complaints, the course of a disease or the results of a treatment it may be necessary for the GP to have your blood, urine or stool examined. If this is the case you will receive an application form for testing.

To have a blood sample taken and to hand in urine or stool you can go to a couple locations of the ATAL, the OLVG or the pharmacy De Krommerdt (via SALT) on tuesdays and thursday mornings.

If the examination requires you to be sober this is stated on the application form.
A jar for handing in urine or stool you can get at our GP practice assistant and a jar for handing in sperm you can get at our GP practice assistant or the OLVG.

The examination of the blood, urine or stool is done at a laboratory.
The GP receives the result of the test.
